Port Hood, Texas — Cpl. Paul V. Campbell, son of Mr. and Mrs, Delbert Campbell. R- 1. Jasper, and Pfc, Franklin R. Kemp son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman F. Kemp, R. 1 Huutlngburg recently participated in a special'Army test exercise at Fort Hoocl.Purpose of the exercise was to test combat command experimental formations organized by the 1st Armored Division to adapt to the latest concepts of atomic-age ground warfare.Campbell, a rifleman in Company C of the division’s 25th Armored Infantry Battalion, entered the Army in February 1953 and completed basic training at Camp Atterbury, Ind. He was previously Assigned in Korea. He attended Huntingburg High School.Kemp, a rocket launcher gunner in the division’s 25tli Armored Infantry Battalion, entered the Army in January 1953 and completed basic training- at Camp Atterbury, Ind. He was previously assigned in Korea. Kemp attended Holland High School.
