Donald Gene GiblerFuneral services for Specialist 4 Donald Gene Gibler, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gibler, Mayview, were held Sunday at the Baptist Church in Mayview, with burial in Higgins ville Cemetery. He was killed in Vietnam.The Giblers formerly lived in the Rigbec and Moberly areas. His grandmother is Mrs. Mary Helen Gibler, Route 2, Moberly.The soldier had entered the Army Jan. 20,1970,and had been in Vietnam since June 12.A Runner on a )75mm gun,* hehad been stationed in the DMZ area until the past three weeks, when he was taking part in the Ho Chi Minh trail operation. He was killed when the fire support base near the Laotian border where he was located was attacked by enemy forces.Specialist Gibler was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Higginsville, but attended the Mayview Baptist Church where he sang in the choir- and was active in all phases of church work/
