Burns GraduatesFrom NCO Acad.Army Specialist Four Royce L. Burns, whose parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Burns, live on Route 8, Cullman, was graduated Feb. 25 from the Seventh U.S Army Noncommissioned Officer Academy in Bad Tolz, Germany.Specialist Burns received four weeks of training in leadership responsibilities, exercise of command, map reading and military teaching methods.Burns, a tank driver in Troop M of the 2d Armored Cavalry Regiment’s 3d Reconnaissance Squadron near Amberg, entered the Army in July 1964 and completed basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C., before arriving overseas the following December.The 19-year-old soldier attended Holly Pond High School.
