BROTHERS HAVE UNEXPECTED MEETING.Among the 25 Peru and Miami County boys who arrived in Peru over the C. O. Railroad nt midnight Saturday night from France where they went to make the supreme sacrifice if necessary, to make the world safe for democracy, was Paul Griswold, son of Edward Griswold, of Jefferson township. Paul left Peru with the firt Miami county contingent for Camp Taylor in September. 1017, and in the early part of last year went across, fie was with the 84th Division, 825th Field Artillery and with the other boys who came home Saturday night landed at Newport News a couple of weeks ago. It was while at Newport News that Paul by chance met iis brother, Clay Griswold, whom he had not seen in over a year.Clay enlisted in the navy in July 1918 and was at Newport News waiting the time for the transport to which he is assigned to sail again. He had already made two trips across and back on a transport carrying soldiers home from France and was to start on his third trip one week ago Saturday, the day after ho. met his brother. It is expected that the transport on which .voung Griswold is sailing will reach the intended destination in France the latter part of this week. As may be believed the brothers were glad to meet and improved the short time they had together at Newport News.—Sentinel.
