Signal Service Reserve Corps anil a former well known Elyria boy, re-C'ntly married here, has been promoted to the office of major, the new commission being particularly acceptable because it is issued in the regular army.j Eormer Captain James Van Denson, who married a popular Elyria girl, is now a colonel in the medical branch of the service. The families of these officers take a natural and pardonable pride in their mili-jtarv progress which is.shared by a wide circle'of friends and citizens generally.
