Central Coach's Brother Is Lost On Jacob JonesFriends of Joe Bronstein, Manchester Central’s popular basketball coach, learned last evening that his brother, Lieut. Ben Bronstein, lTSN, was lost ' on board the ill-fated LTSS Jacob Jones which was sunk off New Jersey last Saturday morning1. Lieut. Bronstein was graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 193$ where he starred In basketball. He attended the Tufts Medical school and upon his graduation from there in 1940 he ferved his internship at St. Luke’s hospital in New Bedford, Mass. His commission was granted about two months before Pearl Harbor was attacked and he went to sea early in December. Besides being: a star athlete at the UNH he was vice president of his class, won the Cogswell scholarship, membership in the Sphinx his junior year and the Blue Key his senior year.lt;
