We are highly tratified in learning that our ( young friend, Master John Corse, of this city, , has been edm.tted to the rank of Cadet, in the I Military Academy, at West Point. This is a| well merited compliment. Master John is a jyoung gentleman of much promise, possessing a j ( ftae mental organization, largely and variously | cultivated—for his ye irs—by assiduous study of j the abstruse sciences, and polite Literature.
