Lt. John H. Townley Killed in FranceAccording to n War department telegram received by the Rev. and Mrs. .Innn Townley. Point Picas-nnt Beach. N. j., their son. Lt. John H. Townley. ;i member of the Sixth Armored division, wns kilied in Prance August 3. 19-1-1. He had previously neon listed as missing.Lieutenant Townley was born in Emporia on August 23. 1920. He was R graduate of the Point Pleasant High school and the College of Etn-pom. class of 1941. He worked for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita before enlisting in the army in June, 1942.He took, his basic training and primary flight training at Wichita university.
