What do you think? We've only been on this island several weeks but we really got. things going in a hurry. We built a . nice dub and T do mean nice. We lacked entertainment and a place to spend our leisure moments so we lost no lime in doing something about It. It's a real fine place with that old rustic touch to it. good fixtures. a wonderful bar with all sorts: of phoney drinks mo American liquor). The opening night was one for, all of us to remember. Several high j ranking officers attended our open-! ing and we were complimented for, having the nicest club on the island.: We had two bands playing for us,: not one but two. One-was the Royal . Air Force band and the other a colored band composed of soldiers: from an engineering regiment. It, was a real Jam Session,” the RAF! band was tops with Its swingy lunes \ while the colored boys did okay1 with their spiritual numbers as well as some of never to bo forgotten Stephen Faster Ballads.” You can imagine toe time we had. Nothing's impossible these days, not for a regular G. I. Joe. Perhaps all that is hard lo believe, but it's really soRemember me lo all and thanks again lor your letters.Yours In Sports.Cookie.”
