CORPORAL SWANSON HOME AFTER FIGHTING OVERSEACorp. Fred E. Swanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Loa P. Swanson, returned to Moline Saturday night from France. He was discharged from Camp Grant Saturday morning and immediately came to his home in this city.Corporal Swanson was entrained for Jefferson barracks, May 10, 1018, and arrived in France Aug. 2, 1018. He was a member of the 20tb machine gun battalion. He was first gunner in his company. Corporal Swanson wasin the frontline trenches six weeks before the armistice was signed.
