Progressing past the plant dispensary, the tour group will then enter the Data Processing area where electronic data processing equipment is used to compile a wide variety of reports in addition to the large number of payroll checks required to reimburse personnel for their services each week.Plant visitors will then view the sequence assembly for *he micro-wave ground radio communications (AN-GRC- jO). They will next pass through the Parts Fabrication area where lacks and drawers that house the printed circuit boards for ( the communications equipment are assembled. While in this section of the plant, the group will view a display of items produced at other defense electronics products locations.A special treat for the visitors will be an opportunity to view themselves on television by means of a closed circuit arrangement A TV camera will lie located near a monitor so that persons may walk in front of the camera and see themselves simultaneously.As the tour enters the Manufacturing Assembly area, many components of the Polaris submarine intercommunications systen will be demonstrated.Next on the agenda will be the Product Fngineering activity where exhibits will feature the latest techniques that have been developd for application to the new' communications product’- and which are expect ed to go into production at the Cambridge plant in the years to come. One display will show what the human voice looks like on an oscilloscope on which it is converted from sound into lt;visible wave lengths. lt;The tour will then continue through the Manufacturing As- t semblv area where the portable 1 combat radio (AN-PRC-25) is j manufactured for the Signal 1 Corps.
