TRAMLOAD Of SOLDIERS STOPPED AT LOUISA■' . ■■■ ■ IA TROOP TRAIN GIVES SOLDIERS ERERCISE IN OUR CITY—A TftEAT GIVEN ROYS.On taut Friday morning the people•f Louisa were treated unexpectedlyto a very thrilling apnetaele— that of X%2 soldiers marching through the streets. They were inuiaing through Port Gay on their way from the north to Camp La*. Va. The special train waa held at our sister town 4b minutes to give the soldier* a chance to take some exercise. Mr. Osborn. the N. W. agent at Ft. Gay. telephoned Mayor Augustus Hnyder and he arranged to have them cross the bridge and march in Louisa. The notice waa very short, but citlaens were out in force to cheer the men They were presented with Louisa i»ost cards by Atkins Vaughan, and with cigarettes and other gifta by a lot of the citiaens Their time was 30 minute# but theystayed 45. Another special train carrying soldiers followed this and was denied the opportunity of a similar stop because the first train took more than Its allotted time.The men were from Wisconsin and Chicago Lieutenant 8teffy was in charge.
