HERSHAL L HATFIELD IS ON NAVY CARRIERUSS LAKE CHAMPLAIN (FHTNC)—-Hershel L. Hatfield, seaman, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe A. Halfield of 145 Stewart streei, Chillicothe, Mo,, is serving aboard the Navy anti-submarine warfare support aircraft carrier USS Lake Champlain scheduled to visit Northern Europe in June and July.During Lake Champlain’s cruise, she will stop at the picturesque countries of France, Denmark and England.In the course of the “Champ’s” visits, he will have a rare opportunity to see and visit some of the world’s most glamorous countries.The 895-foot anti-submarine aircraft carrier, USS Lake Champlain, operating out of Quonset Point, R. I., operates with the Second Fleet, part of the primary Naval striking force of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet.
