Smith local Air Force Recruiter announced herestoday that during the month of May the following named young men from this area have enlistedin the United States Air Force for a period of four years.Taff F. Knipmeyer of RFI) No. 2, Warrenton, Mo., George G.Mudd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Mudd, of RFD 2, Silex, Mo., Norman D. Edelen, son of Mr. andrs. William W. Edelen, of RFDNo. 1, Silex, Mo. .......All of thesey°ung men are presently undergoing their Air Force basic training at I jack land AFB, Texas. Upon completion of their basic training they will be assigned to an Air Force technical training school and from there to a combat ready air wing.
