Two Timber WolvesKilled West of TownLocal hunters bagged two timber wolves on the Big Bernard River near Gene Beckendorff’s rice field last Sunday morning at about seven o'ocloek.The party, made up of Mack Tipp and two sons, Harvey and Dick, Virgil Hill, and Edwin and Leo Lux, took their stands, with Virgil Hill and Edwin Lux getting a shot, but missing. Leo Lux killed the full grown 48-pound timber wolf, while Mr. Tipp killed a half grown wolf.The hunters report these wolv-! es to be the first killed in this vicinity in seven years, and say 1 they saw five or more others, ; Another hunt is planned in the g i near future.
