Knapp, patriotic*instructor, of Battle Creek showed that | she had been honored with the gift of office for the seventh time. Her timewas thorough occupied as tin- reportshowed. The report of the 1. and I.: officer. Evelyn Crusere, showed twocorps organized during the past year.204 installations reported in the state,j138 being joint with the posts. Thirty-three letters were written to as many{Mists, having no auxiliary corps, with instructions for organizing the same.As many of the delegates were leaving on the morning trains, the baked trout dinner was announced by the Baptist ladies as early as 10:45, many of the departing ladies providing themselves with baked trout lunches. The dinner was fairly picked out of the sea as the fish used was caught this morn- j ing about daybreak and served a few hours later. Mrs. Edith Kennedy of Portland, was tendered a vote of thanks for the able manner in which*she led the singing throughout thesessions.The afternoon session was occupiedwith reports of department officials.Mrs. Gray, the new president, was presented with a beautiful testimonial offlowers from Mr. and Mrs. Rolph of Escanaba.A vote of thanks for kindness and hospitality was extended to the pressand citizens of Traverse City.
