Ladies Lodge Buys Another $100 War BondMeeting in regular session Sun-1 day afternoon in Odd Fellows j Temple, the Lad tel Lodge No.: 1686 of the Order of the Sons of Italy in. America, voted to buy another $100 War Bond during the Fifth War Loan drive. Miss Marie E- Prudentc, worthy vener-’ able, presided and ujged all mem-; hers to buy-* extra bonds during j the drive.A carton of 50 pounds of new clothing for men, women, girls, boys and babies, was purchased by the lodge and members, for the Italian people. The carton was sent to Philadelphia and from there will be sent to Italy. All lodges m the State are doing the same thing. A total of $125 was spent by the lodge and members for this purpose. A list of names contributing and the articles purchased was read at the meeting, and a duplicate was mailed to the grand venerable.An officers’ meeting was held at the'home of Miss Mane E. Pru-dente. iThe attendance was 100 per cent. The prize for the most correct questions jmswered for “Information Please,” questions concerning the by-laws of the order* was presen led to the contestant Mis. Marghenta Dcll.gatte, it being a porcelain statuette of| a lion, the symbol of the order. At: the conclusion of the meeting:lunch was served by the hostess-Miss Frudente, assisted by her; mother Mrs. C. Prudentc. Favors; were little porcelain shoes Qlled: with nuts and candy.An out-door party will be held; Sunday, July 0, at the home of' Mrs. Angelina Sanzone. It will bej in form of wiener roast, etc- All! members are asked to attend.Miss Antoinette Fastore drew the names of'two boys serving in the states with Unde Sam. They, are Pvt. Jimmy RullL of Whefeler and T/5 Joseph R. Frudcnte, now stationed at Camp Livingston, La.; Packages will bo mailed to each of these boys.
