News Of County Military MenS.Sgt Felix H. Murrin Jr., son of Mrs. Opal Murrin, Cumberland, has graduated with honors from the U. S. Air Force Noncommissioped Officer Leadership School at Nellis Air Base, Nev.Sergeant Murrin, who was trained in military management and supervision, was presented the academic award for top scholastic achievement in his class.He is an automatic tracking radar repairman at Nellis. The sergeant, whose father, Felix Murrin Sr., lives in San Pedro, Calif., is a graduate of Cumberland High School.Airman Clyde Baker Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Baker Sr., Harlan, has graduated at Sheppard Air Base, Tex., from the U. S. Air Force missile facilities specialist course.The airman, a graduate of Harlan High School, is being assigned to McConnell Air Base, Kan.T.Sgt. Orville R. Gambrel has arrived for duty at Richards-Gebaur Air Base, Mo.Sergeant Gambrel, a supply supervisor with a unit of the Air Force Communications Service, previously served at Incirlik Air Base. Turkey, and in Vietnam.He is a graduate of Wallins High School and the son of Mrs. Mazzie Gambrel, Wallins.Pvt. Carlos McKnight, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob McKnight, Cumberland, recently completed eight weeks of basic training at the U. S. Army Training Center, Ft. Knox.Private McKnight’s wife, Billie, lives at Cawood.Linda Gail Griffey. Tremont, has enlisted in the Woman'sArmy Corps for three years with a guarantee in the administration field. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Griffey, Tremont, and a graduate of Cawood HighSchool. She will receive basic traning at Ft. McClellan, Ala.Two local youths have enlisted in the U. S. Army.
