CO. K FILLING [IF1-Organization Now Numbers Nearfy 125 Officers and Men,HAS LARGEST RECRUIT IN IOWAComplete Roster of Officers and Men Comprising Corning Militia Company.Capt. 'Hupp lias nearly 125 officers and men. in his command, Company K, of Corning. His enlistments in this vicinity number 112, and he is this week receiveing ten other recruits from Company C, of Creston, that company already having more than the required num'ber, 150.Among other interesting items concerning the local company, it may he noted that in the person of Rex Moody, a recruit from Bedford, the company boasts the largest recruit in the state. Mr. Moody is 20 years old, is. six feet, five and a quarter'inches in height, and weighs 240 pounds. He is an employe3n the Elite Tea Room, Shenandoah, became fired with the patriotic ardor and is now a member of 'Company K, anx-ous to do his mite for the country.Capt. Hupp is - proud of the good showing his company is making, and we are all proud.-of the boys who have volunteered to respond to the call o£ duty.
