He grew to young manhhood on the homestead following in the footsteps of his father, ihat of farming, securing an excellent education in the country school®, which lie attended constantly, except when needed to work on tlie large farm owned by his parents. While still a youth Mr. Anderson united with the Antrim Presbyterian church living a true Christian life, noted among his neighbors for his many acts of charity. and willingness at all times to help his less fortunate neighbors and friends.In H5® Mr. Anderson was married to Elizabeth Jenkins and to this union were born nine children, seven of whom are still living as follows: Milton and Ross, of Los Angeles,Cal., Otho and Clark, employes of a railroad In the southern part of California: Annie C i of Denver. Colo., and Mary and Sadie, who were with their father during his last Illness and at the time of Ills death. Besides the children Ids wife is left to mourn his death.At the time of the death of Mr. Anderson’s parents he came into possession of the homestead, and by Ids untiring efforts, added to his possessions from time to time until lie haa one of the largest and most productive farms in that part of the state.Mr. Anderson was a man of strong principles, generous to a fault and ready to assist anyone needing help. In politics he took an active interest and part in the Democratic ranks and at the time of Ids death was one of the leaders In polftics in his township. The funeral services which were held at the residence Thursday afternoon May 23, at two o’clock, were very largely attended by the many friends of deceased and the family, and the floral tributes were very beautiful. The services wereconducted by Rev. G. G. Copeland.
