.ISgt. Frederick 8. Weber ....Sgt Frederick 8 Weber. pictured above. son of Mr. and Mr*. F, W Weber. of Rockton, la serving with the Army Engineers somewhere in England He was inducted in the Army August 19,lfM2, and received hia basic training at Fort Bragg. N C. From there he was transferred to the southern part of Louisiana, where he spent several weeks on maneuvers. The remaining fourteen months before going oversea* he was stationed st Camp Forrest. Tenn. where he completed his engineering training and received his rating as a sergeant The day after Christmas 1943. he left New York where he *a assigned for overseas duty.Sgt. Weber is a graduate of the DuBois high school, class of 1041, and prior to entering the service was employed by his fa’her as a well driller.
