Lincoln 5trooper of 101st is ‘welVMr. and Mrs. T R. Hershner, sr., 2432 So. 18th, received a cablegram Sunday from their son, Capt. Ivan R. Hershner, jr., a paratrooper with the 101st airborne division, saying that he Is “well and happy.” The cable was dated June 12, but carried no place of origin.Captain Hershner has been overseas since 'September, and it Is presumed that he was withthe 101st division when it made its initial landing on the Cherbourg peninsula on D-day.—:-jo--C1J • • I!_____JCapt.
