Four Ex-Students Reported Lost In Action RecentlyThree former University of Houston students in naval service and one member of the army air force have been reported lost In service recently.Loren Crouch, son of Dr. and Mrs. Roy A. Crouch, was reported Sunday to have been missing: in action on the oil tanker Neosho. Loren, 24 had escaped unhurt from the West Virginia, sunk in the Pearl Harbor attack.A senior major in government. Crouch hud enlisted for duty in August 1941. He was in the University during 1940-41.William J. Dupree was reported killed in the battle of the Coral Sea June 10; Loren Crouch, also lost in the battle of the Coral Sea, was re-reported missing June 14; and Kn-sign Louis John Muery. Jr.. was reported missing from a navy flight May 24.Dupree, who attended the University in 1940 and 1941, was a member of the crew of the aircraft carrier Lexington. He was the son ofMr. and Mrs. W. E Dupree. 221 Drennan. He enlisted in the Navy in March, 1941.Muery. son of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Muery. attended the university for three years. He enlisted in the navy in October 1940 and obtained his wings in September 1941.An unofficial report on the campus was that Ralph M. Edwards, a student from 193X to 1941. died on the Pacific Coast early this week.
