Service NotesTWENTYNINE PALMS—Calif, Marine Lanee Cor poral Jim P. Carrillo, son of Mr. and Mrs. Celso Carrillo. Bosque, has been promoted to his present rank while serving with Force Troops, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center. Twenty nine Palms, Calif.A 1978 graduate of Belen High School he joined the Marine Corps in June 1978.Carrillo's wife Berlinda, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Montova of Bewlen.MILLINGTON. Tenn. -Navy Airman Recruit Mi chael H. Thornburg, son of Donna C. and Daniel R. Thornburg Jr., Belen, has completed the aviation ma chinist’s mate basic jet en gine course.During the five-week course at the Naval Air Technical Training Center, Millington, Tenn., students received introductory instruction on the character istics and operating princi pies of jet engines. Addi tionally, they studied the procedures for refueling and defueling aircraft, for remo val and installation of air craft engines and for the operation of aircraft ground handling equipment.A 1978 graduate of Belen High School, he joined the Navy in December 1978.
