Crittenden, of Kentucky, and for several years a citizen of Ttias, haying arrived here from New Mexico,left yesterday morning, b? the steamer J. II. Bell, for New Orleans. Col. Crittenden has , resigned his office in the V. S. army to devote his services to the Sooth. He will visit bis■oM home in Kentucky, however, before enter- ' ing on other duties. JCol. Crittenden is accompanied by Lieut j Jackson of the Rifles, Lieut, McNeil, whose I relatives reside in Colorado county, also came J home at the same time. AH these officers have resigned their positions in the C, 8. army to serve the South. *1
