LaCombe, who graduated on April 9 from boot camp, is pictured above holding the plaque re* celved by his platoon, Echo Company. The honor platoon, consisting of all Texas boys received the Honor Plaque for the last five weeks of basic training at Fort Polk. Louisiana. The plaque is awarded on the basis of performance at inspection — orderly barracks, promptness, clean rifles, etc.Private Johnny LaCombe Is presently at Aberdeen proving grounds in Maryland. He Will attend school there through July.
