Killed a Fellow Prisoner in the Jail at Danville.At Dauville, Ills., a woman named Mary Smith, who claims (Jreencastle, Indiana, as the place of her nativity, was a prisoner in the county jail. The lacts as we gleam them are that ( the Smith woman and a colored I woman had a quarrel and fought to settle the issue in dispute. They were arrested and put in jail for this violation of law, and after their incarceration they renewed the battle with additional ardor.The Smith woman had carried a knife into the jail, and with this weapon she cut her antagonist “all t' pieces,’’ finally plunging the blade into the heart of the colored woman, and death resulted instantly.The report is that Mrs. .Smith is a daughter ot Hamilton Uray, of South (ireencastle, and is well known t«» many of our people.
