Death of James Beggs.James Beggs, aged 89 years, died at the home of his son, Commissioner John T. Beggs, in Liberty township, Guernsey county, Ohio, Thursday evening, June 1, 1905, at 6:15 o’clock, of kidney trouble together with a complication of diseases incident to old age. The deceased was born in Antrim county, Ireland, October 8, 1816. a do came to Guernsey county. Ohio, with his parents in 1822. He was married to Miss Margaret Parkinson January 28, 1841, and to them were born six children, viz: James M., of Kimbolton, O.: Edward P., who died at the age of 19 years: Bar-hary E., who died at the age of 9 years; John T.. of Liberty township: Miss Dorcas J. Beggs and Ida B., wife of Howard Gibson, both of Kansas City, Mo.Mr. Beggs was one of the early pioneers of Guernsey county. lie was a man of wonderful physir.iue which enabled him to endure the hardships of the pioneer days. The most of his life was SDent in this county, where he learned to till the soil and successfully carry on farming. He was a man of strong convictions and always delighted Id r ight doing. He was a member of the Cambridge First U. P. church, having united with that church manv years ago. In his dea'h Guernsey county has lost a highly respected citizen and his children a kind and indulgent father. Since the death of his wife which occurred May 4, 1901. Mr. Beggs made his home with his son, John T. Beggs, and family, where iD his declining years and last sickness he received the best of attention that was possible for affectionate children to give a fond parent. The funeral took place on Saturday from his late home at 10 o’clock and was largeiy attended. The services were conducted by Rev. Dr. McFarland aod Rev. Mr. Nasb. Interment was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery, Jefferson townslop.u[B«fruiiate
