AREA RESIDENTS WITH FIRST MARINESCpl, James A. Malone, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Malone, Route 4, and L-CpJ. Larry jr. Gholston, 22, son of Mrs. Evelyn Jason of Route 3, and husband of Mrs. Wyneli Gholston of Alton, are serving with the First Marine Division in Vietnam.Malone is in the Second Battalion, 11 Regiment, engaged in search and destroy missions. Gholston is a member of the 11th Motor Transport Battalion supporting combat troops.Their units are also engaged in civic action activities among Vietnamese civilians, aiding in self-help projects such as the building of wells, culverts, schools and small bridges.
