13 Enlistments Noted,Army and Air ForceThirteen men were taken into the U. S. Army and IL S. Air Force here Wednesday- at the recruiting station on Prince Street. Ten of the West Virginians joined the Air Force while the other three went into the Army*-Two of the airmen recruits were veterans of prior service and went to Langley Air Force Base at j Hampton, Va. They were Rondal Chester King, 17, of Jochin, with over six months Air Force service, and John David Harris, 32, of Charleston, a veteran of nearly five years in the Army.The other airmen-to-be, going to Sampson Air Force Base, N. Y,. were Gary Thomas Kershner, 19, Verner Bradley Cutlip, 20, James Donald Kershner, 19, and Jack Wilson McCoy, 20, all of Beard: Hughey Edward Randolph, 17, of Boomer; Lowell Wade Milhoan, 17, of Nitro; and Jerry Keith Given, 19, and Russell Howard Mullins, Jr., -18, both of Widen.All the Air Force enlistees joined for four years.Those going into the Army were Fred Jackson Honaker, Jr., 26, of Minden, son of F. J. Honaker, Sr., and a veteran of over four years in the Army; Clyde Brown, 18, of Kenova; and Robert Eugene Lef-fingweil, 20, of Huntington, all for two-year tours of duty.
