SOLDIER REPORTEDMISSING IN ACTIONNOW PRESUMED DEADPfe. Homer L. Wood, 24, 31st Infantry, anti-tank company, reported missing in action May 7, 1942 shortly after the fall of Corregidor is now presumed to be dead, according to a letter from the war department received by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Dewey H. Wood, 214 Bast First avenue.Volunteering for foreign service, Pvt. Wood left for duty in the Philippines March 13, 1941. He attended the Corsicana schools and was working at the mechanics trade when he efttered the service.1
