Lamphere completed basic training for WACs at Fort McClellan. Ala., on the 7th day of May. Pvt. Lamphere is the second daughter of Mrs. Anna Lamphere of RD 1, Monroe-. t0 ton, to join the Corps, me. Her first daughter, Barbara, now Mrs. John Martin, joined the s,s’: Corps in January of 1955. She * received her honorable discharge ene in January of 1958. She is now at Fort Gordon, Ga., with her husband, who recently enlisted in the Army.Both Pvt. Lamphere and Mrs. Martin were recruited by Sfc. Wanda Macek of the Wilkes-Barre recruiting station. Pvt. Lamphere and Mrs. Martin arestu-ited : of n t ingtie,gh,ch-both graduates of Towanda Valley High, being in the classes 57 and 54 respectively.While in basic both girls were members of Company B. Mrs. Martin, who was an Army photographer, attended the same school which Pvt. Lamphere is now attending, photography school at Ft. Monmouth, N. J.Pvt. Lamphere recently spent a three-day pass at her home at RD 1, Monroeton. She expects to receive her second pass and b**| home on the 4th of July.Pvt. Lamphere would like to hear from her friends.
