Local Marine Is AwardedPurple HeartMarine Private First Class Joseph W. Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pearl Davis, of Moulton has been awarded the Purple Heart Medal for wounds received in action against Chinese Communist Forces in Korea. The presentation was made by his Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Russell Duncan. Davis is a rifleman with a battalion of the 7th regiment, 1st Marine Division.
