Pic. Jerry L. Dowden Bound For Far EastMarine Pf e. Jerry L. Dowden, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Dowden of 1023 Atlanta street, Nederland, departed San Diego, Calif., May 17, aboard the USNS Gaffey, with an overseas draft bound for duty inthe Far East.The draft consisted of replacements for personnel stationed with the Third Marine Division who are scheduled to return to the states.
