Sgt, Toepper will be (cud to his final rest in Forest Home cemetery. Members of the Veterans of foreign Wars, Post 71 81,. will conduct the services. Rev. Gerhard 'Gieschen, pastor of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran church will be the officiating minister.The kjody of Sgt. Toepper will arrive in Forest Park this week, to Jie in slate at Zimmerman^ from Friday evening until the services. VJf.W. members will form the guard of honor.Sgt, Toepper entered the armed forces on April 23, 1943, serving in the Army Air Force, In March. of 1944 he was shipped overseas and on June 30 of that year, he was killed in action. He was serving as a nose gunner on a B-20 marauder plane at the time of his death.He is survived by his father, Charles Toepper, 418 Elgin; his sifter, Elsie T. Latsis, and two brothers, pharles and peorge. His mother passed away some 10 months after the news of Sgt. Toepper’s death reached hia family.
