Home After Being Wounded TwicePte. Jack G. Allworth, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Allworth. 634 Pottery street, returned to the city recently, after serving for live years overseas. Pte. Alhvorth enlisted with the Calgary Highlanders on Sept. 4, 1939. and arrived overseas in September. 1940.After taking additional training in England, he was transferred to the Seaforth Highlanders, and took part in the Invasion of Sicily and Italy as a rifleman. Pte. Allworth fought in many of the great battles of the Italian campaign, including the battle of the Senio river, and Ortona.
