McDonald of 3032 E.Hawthorn St., graduated from recruit training May 24 at the Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, 111.The graduation exercises, marking the end of nine weeks of “boot camp’', included a full dress parade and review before military officials and civilian dignitaries.In nine weeks of instruction, the “raw recrut” is developed into a Navy Bluejacket, ready for dutywith the fleet.FORT HUACHUCA, Ariz.—Pfc. Herbert G. Gibbs Jr., whose parents, live at 5200 S. Tamiami Trail, recently participated in a communications systems field training exercise with the 03rd Signal Battalion at Fort Hus-chuca, Ariz.Gibbs, assigned to the battalion’s Company C, entered the Army in February 1957 and received basic training at Fort Renning. Ga. He was last stationed at Fort Gordon, Ga.The 23-year-old soldier attended Attleboro (Mass.) High Srhnol and Tilton (N.H.)
