ROBERT BRUCE FOLTZ, USNR, RECEIVES ADVANCED RATING!The following press release from the public relations office Eighth Naval District, New Orleans, La., informs us that Robert Bruce Foltz, USNR, of Patoka, 111., has been advanced in rating to signalman first class, as announced by the U. S. Naval Armed Guard Center, there.During his 16 months at sea as a member of a Navy gun crew protecting vital war materials aboard merchant ships, he has visited portsin Belgium, England and South America.Prior to his enlistment in the Navy, Foltz was a high school student in Patoka, where his parents,Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Foltz make theui home.
