Dtmeyv of the iSd Lbvis-ion, 5thW fCorps oi the Army of the Potomac, hud prepared a decoration to be called ike“Kearney Mf dal/' in commemoration ofthe brave former commander of the di-v Ic lt;n. i o be ire*en ted to t h im - - -!di °rs who should distinguish themselves hi ttn*- fr—’ensuing buttle The design is a pure Idalt^se cross, bearing a ring with the inscription, Dulce et Decorum est pro patria morL ' At the intersect ion of the cross is the simple name of *‘Kear-pin I? which me whole is attached to the idi breast oi the wearers coat The inscription rii.g on the cross is o? gold, inlaid with jet. in which the lettering appears in gold. The workmanship is exquisite throughout forming a really beautiful decoration.
