McClcnahan as. ,r Marshal, reached the cemetery about 11o’clock' where a largo crowd of patriotic people from the surrounding country and ^towna were assembled to do honor to the ji sacred_doad. A temporary platform and ..scuts had been put up in tne centre of the cemetery, adding much to the comfort and convenience of all. The exercises opened . with martini music led by the old veteran - Mr. John Emery, after which Rev. M. A , offered prayer. P., A. Cool then delivered , a welI' prepared and eloquent address, . ; giving due praise to all partakers in the /;great struggle for.
