He was a painter by trade.Born in Ouray, Utah, on September 22, 1S91» tho Utah man, after making his residence in Vernal and othor Utah towns, moved to Trenton several years ago. He came to Salt Lake soon after the United States' entry into the t war and enlisted at the local navy recruiting office In the regular service as a cook. He was immediately transported to the naval training a tat ion at San Francisco. A friend, Bert Hardy, whom he gave as a reference when, enlisting here, rcsidco, at Vernal, Utah.
