cy. Two daughter* and one son are now living. Uncle Abe has twentv-nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchild ren. His wife died Oct. 2, 1908. In 1870 he moved to Arkansas and has lived in ('ravens township since that date. And lie says he has lived a happy poor man’s life, raising corn, cotton, peanuts and watermelons successfully^ He has never had any disagreements, and is able to this day to |ay his debts. He was converted Dec. 18. 1863 and was baptized the next day, joining the Baptist church. He is now a member of the Kehn-beth Baptist church, but says he “ain’t fitten to belong to it. ” He is the oldest man in the church, both in age and in membership, and, altho he is hard of hearing he goes to church every opportunity he has and takes an active interest in church affairs. Uncle Abe likes to ride horseback thru the country, visiting relatives and friends. He says he hasn’t an enemy in the world so far as he knows.
