Ralph Irwin, Pennsylvania Native, Dies/Ralph Donald Irwin. 72, ol 5111 E. 24th St., Tulsa. Okla.. who at one time was affiliated with the Joseph Reid Gas En-gine Company of Oil City, died Mondav, May 25, in a Tulsa* 7 •/hospital, according to word received bv The Derrick.WMr. Irwin, a native of Pennsylvania, was owner of the ReidEngine Parts and Service in Tulsa.He worked as a serviceman in El Dorado, Ark., for the Jo seph Reid Gas Engine Company, which set up Jones Laughlin Supply Company’s first supply store in Bartlesville in 1905, when it merged with Frick Lindsay Company, becomingFrick-Reid Supply Company.Mr. Irwin joined the machinery sales department of Frick-Reid, which became a part of JL Supply in 1939. He was made manager of Reid parts in 1948 where he served until he retired from JL in 1956. He then purchased the parts firm in Oklahoma.Surviving are his widow, Mrs.Elda Irwin; two sons, Donald Irwin, at home, and Gerald Irwin of Vallejo, Calif.; a daughter. Mrs. James R. Haines ofTulsa, and seven grandchildren.
