Capt. Sanner Is Made Col. Kennedy’s AdjutantCamp Lee. Va., June 3.—Capt. Charles S. V. Sanner. son of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Sanner, of east of Frederick. Md„ last week became adjutant to Col. Allan J. Kennedy, commanding officer of the 7th j £ Quartermaster Training Regiment here, according to announcement made today at. this replacement center.A major in the Gettysburg College R. O. T. C. battalion, he was called to active service in December, 1940. and was assigned to Camp Lee after a course at the Holabird, Md., Motor Transport School. H,e served with Company A of the 7th Regiment until November of last year when he was transferred to regimental headquarters as assistant adjutant. Meanwhile he was promoted to 1st lieutenant in Au--gust, 1941, and became a captain March 18, 1942.Before being called to active duty Captain Sanner was with the Baltimore division of Lever Bros., soap products manufacturers. He was graduated from Frederick High School in 1933, and from Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pa., summa cum laude. in 1937. At college he was president of the Phi Sigma Kappa social fraternity, and a member of Scabbard and Blade, national military organization. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, national honorary scholastic society.
