Edward Montaine Rites Saturday In Delaware, 0.LIEUTENANT MONTAINEA requiem high mass will be flung in St. Marv Catholic church, Delaware, 0., Saturday for Lt. Kdward J. Montaine, son of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Montaine, 423 North C street, Hamilton.Lieutenant Montaine enlisted in the army in February, 1941, and was made an officer at Fort Knox, Ky., in 1942. He was an instructor in tank tactics in camps throughout the country.In February, 1944, he went to England and landed in Normandy on July 22, 1944. He was killed in action on August 9, 1944 whileleading a tank platoon following the American break through in Normandy.Burial will be in the family plot in St. Mary cemetery, Delaware.
