(By The Associated Press.)NEW YORK, June .2.—'More than 6,-WJO soldiers arrived here today on the transports Graff, Walderscc and Canada. The former German ship brought the $3.9th infantry, complete. 80th division, (Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania), a total of 99 officers and 3,154 men. She brought also, 26 officers and 81 men of the 142nd infantry, 36th division.Committee ActiveCommittees in charge of welcoming the returning- 29th and SOtii divisions have received a cumber of inquiries as to ■whether the program, of entcrtanmcnts will: bo continued until the last of theunits of the two divisions have come to Camp Leo and be demoblized. The executive committee composed of the chairman of all of the committees iviil meet’ in executive session this afternoonthey made about the people of this city. The reception for the S9th was similar to that given to the 29th just one-week ago, and was received with equal enthusiasm.Saturday afternoon the men were cn-| tertained in Central Park by the ladies of the city who served them refreshments from 6 until 9 o’clock. A large number of the men from the SISth, who had arrived in camp Friday, were given passes to the city Saturday, and the streets were filled with khaki clad men, as in the old days of .the war. ^The men were' again entertained Sunday afternoon, both in the homes of the people and ut the headquarters of various religious organizations. The churches, the Y. M. C. A. and the Jewish 'Welfare board entertained large numbers of men and showed them in true' Southern style that Petersburg was glad to have them back again.in the rooms of the chamber of commerce find the complete program will be outlined.Petersburg has made a distinct hit with the boys at Camp Lee by the welcome sho has accorded them on their return. Although the desire to make a bit was entirely secondary to the main Idea of giving the boys a good time on their return, still facts are facts. M. Pilcher was appointed to transmit these resolutions to Senators Martin and Swanson, Representative Walter E. Watson and the secretary of state.A committee was also apofnted at the instance of Secretary Pennyback-er of the Y. M. C.
