Scott, arrived here in the curs this morning, at a quarter before 12, where hunl dreds of our citizens had gathered to meet and! give this hero a heartfelt greeting. In coinpu] ny with this military chieftain, were Capt. HiL. Scott, Lieut. S. Hamilton. Hr. Wither! spoon. Gen. Towsonand lady, Col. BeiknaJand family, Gen. Cushing, Maj. A. G. Beni nett, and Lieut. James Lougstreet. Genl Quitman and many others whose names Icould not ascertain. They have found comfort!able quarters at Keeler’s City Hotel, and Geol Kice’s U. S. Hotel. IThe city appears very lively.
