Scott, arrived here in the curs this morning, at a quarter before 12, where hunl dreds of our citizens had gathered to meet and! give this hero a heartfelt greeting. In coinpu] ny with this military chieftain, were Capt. HiL. Scott, Lieut. S. Hamilton. Hr. Wither! spoon. Gen. Towsonand lady, Col. BeiknaJand family, Gen. Cushing, Maj. A. G. Beni nett, and Lieut. James Lougstreet. Genl Quitman and many others whose names Icould not ascertain. They have found comfort!able quarters at Keeler’s City Hotel, and Geol Kice’s U. S. Hotel. IThe city appears very lively. I have nol ascertained when and where they will operi their court, bnt through the course of the even! ing I shall know, and you shall hear from mJ this evening or in the morning. Yours, Q.. I
