AUXILIARY MEETSMembers of the Woodsboro American Legion Auxiliary held their monthly meeting recently at the Legion home in Woodsboro. Mrs. Jane Young, president, presided at the meeting.Tribute was paid by the unit to their deceased Gold Star j Mother, Mrs. Sarah Eyler. Pray-i ers were read and the charterdraped.Mrs. Maxine Murray was elected to serve as a district color bearer at the recent aux-lhary convention. Gold ceremonial badges and hymnals were recently purchased by the unit.A district meeting will be held in Mt. Airy by the Gold Star Unit September 27. Members were asked to attend. Elected to serve on the executive committee for the year are Mrs. Mildred Eyler, Mrs. Murray and Mrs. Genine Smith.Volunteers weie asked to helpwith the games at the Newton D. Baker Veterans Hospital in Martmsburg, W. Va., September 14. Mrs. Ernestine Smith ischairman. Game Night will be held again this year in the Legion home beginning in September.Committees for the year were! read.
