A Woman in Soldier's Clothes.—A virtuous young lady from Lafayette, was yesterday discovered in Capt. Herron’s company, enlisted, as she fondly hoped, for the war. The proclamation of the President was read to her, and she was incontinently slid out of camp, much to her chagrin. If the young lady desired to be grammatical wc should say in this paragraph that she was “glided” out, instead of “slid.” So soon asthe Captain found it out, we are authorized to say, he was very indignant. He would not, if lie knew it, permit anything of that kind.
