Aviation Cadet Raker was honorably discharged Nov. 2, 1941, to accept a com mission. He w as appointed second Lt. of the United States Air Force Nov. 3. 1 9 43, accepted and entered on active duty the same day. Lt. Itakej left the V. j S. for overseas service March 2:*,I 1 9 4 4 and was killed in action April29, 1944 in Germany, while serving as a mem her of the 35 9 th Bombardment squadron (IS) 303rd Bombardment Group (Hj. ,Lt. Raker is survived by his wife, Berniee, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Raker.Funeral service for S/SgL Ivan K.May were held Thursday, at the Norberg Memorial Home. Rev. A. (). He is survived by his 10 year old son, Geo., of San Francisco, California, his mother, Mrs. Lug.* May, 440 KimPlace, Princeton, 3 sisters. Mrs. Hazel Thurston, Mrs. Helen Beiderstedt and Mrs. Mildred Patiuebaker and one brother, Glen, all of Princeton.
